We're Still Here!!!

I'm a bad blogger. My apologies.

Last I posted was in October so we have months to catch up on!

Halloween was wonderful, we sat at the end of our driveway with a couple neighbors and handed out candy to the kids. Our neighborhood is so wonderful, we all hang out together, Reed and the other guys all work on each others houses and cars together. So of course we all hang out together when handing out candy for Halloween. Instead of the kids going house to house, they went lawn chair to lawn chair in our driveway!

I had a blast decorating for our first Christmas in this house. Our tree was HUGE. Even had to take the chainsaw to it so it would fit in the base. Reed had a hay day decorating the outside as well. For our first year decorating a full fledged house, I thing we did pretty darn well!

My mom even came to stay with us for a weekend in December. She took our first "family photo"

We found out after Christmas that that will be the last family photo of it's kind because I'm PREGNANT!!!

To say my world has revolved around this baby for the past two months is a bit of an understatement. I ordered the nursery furniture this week, we expect it to arrive any day now. So I guess an upcoming post will be nursery progress!

We decided we needed a recliner for all those long nights rocking a baby to sleep. So after sitting in countless prospects we finally landed on our newest addition..... it really is the most comfy piece of furniture ever.

Reed is a big fan of having something to build (handy quality for when the nursery furniture arrives) but his most recent endeavor was the shed in the back yard.

And after months of weathering the rain some of our cute paper lanterns outside bit the dust so he strung up some new lights too!

For Reed's 30th birthday this month we had a get together with some friends and neighbors. The hit of the night was the Yard Jenga  Reed built. It's typically a tabletop game where you pull out the wooden pieces from the middle of the stack, place them on top and whoever makes the tower fall is the loser.

All and all, the holiday season was lovely, with and extra special gift right after Christmas. And 2012 has been great too!! Our little one is due September 9th, so I'll try to be more diligent about blogging and keeping everyone posted on our nursery and baby prep progress.

'Til next time!
